Project Overview
Quality | Precision | Facade Perfection
The prestigious Mindspace High Street project in Mumbai presented Glazium Facades with an intricate architectural challenge that demanded exceptional precision. This high-profile development showcased complex façade requirements, particularly in the installation of substantial inclined glass panels and achieving the precise circular architecture of the Starbucks outlet, necessitating meticulous execution standards.
Project Highlights
QUALITY > TIME
The Mindspace High Street, Mumbai development stands as a testament to precision engineering, where quality excellence took precedence over all other parameters.
Unconventional Material Quality
The project demanded unprecedented quality benchmarks, with the team’s extensive expertise enabling achievement of an exceptional 1mm error tolerance threshold.
Sustainable Glass
The integration of UV reflective glass technology ensures optimal temperature regulation throughout the structure and its interior spaces.
Inclined Glass
The installation of the inclined glass emerged as a significant technical challenge, requiring collaborative engineering solutions between our experienced team members and client stakeholders.
Scope:
The comprehensive façade implementation encompassed approximately 4,000 sq. meters of Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) and 4,500 sq. meters of glass curtain wall systems. The project’s success hinged on meticulous attention to detail, achievable only through our team’s pursuit of excellence and extensive industry experience.
Challenges:
- Engineering the safe installation of substantial, inclined glass panels
- Executing the precise curved façade for the Starbucks outlet, requiring sophisticated fabrication techniques
- Meeting stringent quality parameters with 1mm error tolerance, surpassing industry standard of 3mm
- Managing extended quality assurance and rectification processes beyond initial project timelines
- Addressing the unique requirement of close-range façade visibility (>3m), demanding immaculate execution of every component – from silicon application to pressure plate alignment and cover cap installation
The project team successfully delivered the façade system, meeting all stringent quality parameters.
Materials and Suppliers
Aluminum Cladding Panels (ACP): The project utilized silver-toned aluminum composite panels from Viva, complemented by wood-finish ACP supplied by Aludecor.
Curtain Wall System Glass: The project partnered with industry leader Guardian Glass, Gujarat as the primary glass supplier, ensuring premium quality materials throughout the development. The façade features advanced UV reflective glass with a UV index exceeding 2.29%, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability while maintaining optimal internal temperature control. For the challenging inclined glass façade, we implemented innovative sandwich glass technology, offering superior structural integrity compared to conventional DGU glass solutions.
